JEWELLERY:
Fine Pewter & Britannia Metal mix:
Care for your Wearable Heritage: Pewter Edition
Your piece has been hand-cast and finished to capture a tactile fragment of the Scottish landscape. To keep your fine pewter jewellery looking its best for years to come, please follow these simple steps
1. The Golden Rule: Last On, First Off
To protect the finish, always put your jewellery on after you have applied perfumes, hairsprays, or lotions. The chemicals in these products can dull the natural luster of the metal.
2. Cleaning with Care
Pewter does not tarnish like silver, but it can pick up oils from the skin.
• The Method: Wash gently in warm, soapy water (a mild dish soap is perfect).
• The Dry: Dry immediately and thoroughly with a soft, lint-free cloth.
• The Polish: If it needs a little extra glow, rub it gently in circular motions with a specialized microfibre polishing cloth.
3. Safe Storage
Pewter is a soft metal and can be scratched by harder stones or steel jewellery.
• Store your piece in its original Anke Rainbow box or a soft fabric pouch.
• Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme heat.
4. A Note on Wear
While your piece is designed for everyday adventures, we recommend removing it before:
• Bathing, Swimming, Showering (beauty product, chlorine and salt water can be harsh).
• Heavy cleaning or gardening.
• Sleeping.
DUNCAN the COO jewellery
CARING FOR YOUR DUNCAN COO 🐮
The Metal: Every Duncan is made from upcycled copper sheet. Copper is a "living metal"—it will naturally deepen in color over time, telling the story of your adventures together.
Keep him Happy:
• The Rainbow Finish: If your Duncan has a "Rainbow" heat-finish, do not use chemical cleaners at all!. Simply wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
• Stay Dry: Remove your Duncan before swimming, showering, or using hand sanitizer.
• The Glow: Pure copper pieces: To restore his bright copper shine, rub gently with a jewellery polishing cloth.
Storage: When Duncan is resting, keep him in a cool, dry place inside his original packaging.
